We got the old freezer put in its new location and gave it its new designation of “feed bin”.
Meanwhile, the overflowing pond dam behind us finally gave out. That’s the same spot it broke last year.
Kathy asked where we were going to keep the ducks when they get bigger. We are planning to move them out to the hen house. Hopefully they will learn to go in it at night to roost like the chickens. They’ll have the pond to swim in too.
Now all the feed will stay dry and pest free.
Sheep feed. The sheep eat this.
Stockman’s mix on the right for the cattle. The big ones eat it like it was candy. Sweet feed on the left. The little calves like this one the best, it is actually horse food. They are getting the regular cattle food mixed in now.
Cracked corn. The llamas get a scoop of this with one each of the sweet and sheep feed. In the spring and summer everyone eats grass instead of feed. Kentucky has good grass. And that completes the livestock feed lesson for today.
Thanks for the update on the duck's future living arrangements and the feed lesson.
