The Carvers dropped off three rescue llamas today. They needed a foster home and we needed more protection for the big pasture.
We got a 16 foot equipment trailer to haul the tractor.
We traded the old Chevy truck for it.
The three new llamas.
These two seem to stick together.
The third one is the brown one.
They all have names. Kelly, Cutie-pie, and something.
I don't know which one is which.
They came with documents, I just didn't read them.

Spring Storm
Spring sprang back to winter today. We woke up to a gentle wet snow that ended this afternoon in a blowing snowstorm.
Snowy cattle feeders.
Lisa tilled the garden and I raked it yesterday.
It might be a nuisance but it's pretty.
Sue is going to miss the chicks. They are getting moved out soon.

Leo in the Bamboo with Satin
It was nice out this afternoon. Sunny and around 45 with no wind, the grass is getting green and the trees have buds.
Leo came out to see what I was doing and started playing with the bamboo.
He noticed me watching and taking pictures so he had to play it cool.
The girls saw me taking pictures and had to come bark at me. Leo remained cool.
Leo: Barking dogs? Meh.
Leo still being cool, the girls still barking when Satin notices a cat in the bamboo patch and darts over at him.
Bad idea Satin, cats have sharp edges. She got a bloody nose for it.
Leo went up the tree.
The cattle are getting feed now. They have slowed down on the hay and are out grazing the new grass.

Cat Condo
We converted the old built-in entertainment center into a cat condo. I still have some modifications to make. Andy came over and changed the oil in the mower and sharpened the blades.
Leo on a stump. He's a farm cat, no question.
Andy sharpening the blades. The last couple of times I serviced the mower in spring I broke something. We left it to the expert this time. Thanks Andy!
Betty killed a bird.
The tulips are coming up in the flower beds.
Satin.
Luna.
Andy and Lisa.
Sue standing still.
Sue in motion.
The litter and food are stored in the bottom cabinet. We moved the wagon over so they would have something to jump down on to. They aren't used to the climbing plank I put in there. It might need to be modified. The litter box will be replaced by an enclosed one so the litter stays dry.
The climbing plank leads through the hole behind the water dish.
The upper cabinet area has a hole for cats to climb through. We'll put a cat bed up there.
The food is on the left behind a door I scavenged from the other half of the built-in. The door is to keep blowing rain and snow out of the cat food.
When you see it...
Sue having fun following Lisa back from the barn, when suddenly...cat.

Weekend of Spring and Winter
Saturday was in the 60's and sunny. We worked around outside most of the day since it was so nice out. Sunday morning started with rain and around 37 and it went downhill from there.
It was Lisa's turn to dump the gravel. Andy raked it out.
It was my turn to shovel. We picked up the gravel Friday afternoon. Saturday we dug the trench for the drain tile and spread the gravel over it.
The drain tile is along the garage slab. We'll continue it out the back so it drains over the hill.
Heather brought some hay over from the horse farm for Drifter.
Sue gets herself behind the garden corral gates but has trouble finding her way back out. The snow had just started, we ended up with about three inches.
