Clark County Lamb Convalescent Center

If a web search brought you here because of the title of this post, I apologize. We set up a private intensive care area for our lambs that were severely injured by a dog attack. I brought the sheep panels up to make a yard for the lambs by the garage. They came out and started eating the weeds right away. We were happy to see Lucinda standing and walking around. Louie is doing well. He already seems to be keeping watch on things. We'll leave the lambs up here for a few more days to let Louie get used to his new surroundings.

  1. Louie is a very handsome llama! He looks like he knows how to keep the bad dogs away.

  2. Oh my goodness, poor little lambs. I did not know that Llamas could be so deadly. Go Louie, protect the herds!

  4. Man, sorry about the loss of the lambs. Wild dogs are always a problem for farmers (which is why they carry guns).

I hope the llama works out and the remaining lambs heal okay!

  5. Up here in Nova Scotia we use llamas or donkeys to protect the flocks. Loose dogs are often shjot. The biggest problem is the coyotes.
