The last couple of weeks have not been the best. Lisa and I were both sick and it has been really cold out. We didn't do a lot outside and didn't take any pictures. We're getting back to normal now.
Andy came over to drop off the little trailer. Heather can lift square bales again so they won't be needing any round bales for a while. He played in the burn barrel with me.
Lisa and Andy were securing the hay on the rack with a ratchet strap. It fell over last week and killed Curly. He was Andy's big wether.
We got Bonnie moved into the pasture with Speedy. Tomorrow Paddy should be going to his new home. He hasn't been a pleasure to have around so he will not be missed.
We moved the hay ring back down to the bottom. It drains better down there. The 'mud' was getting deep up by the shed.
Nelson was showing us his pigs.
He's taking them to the meat packers next week and wants to sell one.
Their names are Pearl and Bacon.
Thanks for posting! Sorry you guys were sick.
ReplyDeleteBonnie is pretty. Does Speedy like her ok?
Are you guys going to get pigs??
ReplyDeleteStay warm and well you guys!
Thanks for the posting!
Bill
I wondered where you went, sorry you were sick! (did you get your flu shot?)
ReplyDeleteSpeedy seems to like Bonnie just fine. He brought her up the hill and showed her where the water was this morning. She seems to be settling in just fine with him. Bonnie is very chatty, she hums. Paddy left this evening so tomorrow I'll hopefully move Martha in with Dolly. Andy is going to share the pig with us. Nelson will take it in to the meat packers in a couple of weeks when he takes his in. No, we didn't get a flu shot. Haven't been sick in years, all the cold stuff in the cabinet expired a couple of years ago!
