It was a spring storm that came in the winter. We got a lot of wind and rain but it moved through really fast. There was thunder and lightning and reports of tornadoes south of us. Our big tornado magnet on the hill was okay. The power went out for a few minutes and it's been flickering ever since the storm. All of the loose branches and weakened trees from the ice storm are falling down.
We had puddles in our low spots. All of the loose things ended up by the back fence. Standing water in the yard makes for some good mud.
Piper doesn't like the wind blowing up her skirt. Some of the devastation.
The creek running through our front pasture. It's only a creek when it rains, usually it's just pasture.
More devastation and the sky after the storm went past.
Wow, that was a pretty wicked looking sky. We got the bottom half of the same storm today. Ugly, dull gray skies and a blustery wind... but I don't think it was anywhere near as severe down here!
ReplyDeleteWe just got the upper fringe of it- a little rain and wind. Took our warmer weather away, too.
ReplyDeleteMuddy puppy feet! I don't blame Piper for not liking to have her skirt blow up, I don't like it either. :-)
