Three more lambs were born today. These were out of 46. She had a difficult time, the second one came tail first. Lisa had to go in after it while I held her still. The third one came out curled up with its back out first. It was a good thing Lisa's forearm got 46 all stretched out because the little thing sort of fell out.
Two girls and a boy. One is solid black and two have the white spots.
46 got them all cleaned up and they have all been nursing.
That's a total of 14 lambs so far. We still have four pregnant ewes that haven't delivered yet. Stevie is turning out to be quite prolific.
Libby and her two got to come out of the stall today. They had their shots, tails and ear tags done yesterday. All the lambs love to play on the dung heap when they get released into the barnyard.
Paige.
Soon there will be a ton of bouncing lambs!! :D Can't wait to see them all bouncing!
ReplyDeleteWow, that was a lot of work for you two. I'm glad 46 and the lambs are ok.
ReplyDeleteHi Paige!
46 is tough, the last one came out sideways, she didn't even scream.
