Six more lambs dropped in this week.
44 had a big ram lamb on Thursday. He was so big Lisa had to grab him and pull him out.
He already has to kneel to get drinks.
We thought 44 was done after the first one. We waited around and she didn't have any more contractions. After she passed a big chunky afterbirth we figured she wasn't going to have any more. Lisa went back out a couple of hours later for a routine check and this pretty little girl lamb was there.
We've been calling her Oreo.
Ally had two ram lambs on Thursday.
These were the first two that looked like dorpers with the black heads.
Molly had hers this afternoon. She had a long labor and finally got the first one out. We're getting some big lambs out of Stevie. They are both ewe lambs.
The second one came about an hour later but it didn't make it, it hadn't fully developed and was stillborn. The third one was right there behind it and was positioned backwards. Lisa saw the hind legs and grabbed hold and pulled it out. She's helping Molly get it dried off and clearing its airway here. It is only a few seconds hold in this shot.
The old timers came up to chew their little cud.
Both sets of triplets are still nursing.
They all seem to be thriving. We left them in the stalls in hopes the ewes will continue to nurse them.
The non-triplets got turned out with their moms. They are grazing and playing. Mostly playing.
Darcy saw me and came up to look for a bucket.
Paige.
Wow, it's getting crowded up there! :-) The little lambs are so cute. Hi Paige!
