The Shelties

Short post this week. It's been hot and humid with evening thunderstorms. It reminds us of Florida without the mosquitoes.

Lisa finished painting the cat bench. It's quite colorful. I wanted more neutral colors like the other bench, but she thought the kitties should have something bright and cheerful.

The girls were due for a group picture.

Smoked Turkey

Anne came up from South Carolina for a visit. We enjoyed having her and Sarah here.

 Lisa smoked a turkey.

 Tinks knew where Lisa was.

She was in the garage with Anne.

 Sarah photo-bombing the Paige picture.

Leo having a quiet afternoon snooze in the clover.

It's a cat! Sarah knows what cats are.

Cats are intimidated by a dog's size and strength.

Their powerful jaws and sharp teeth bring terror to the small timid feline.

Oh. nope nope nope. Sarah's out of there.

  Anne picking strawberries.

 Lisa and her followers.

 The lily is blooming.

Piper in the clover. June 14, 2014.

Piper in almost the same spot six years ago. June 13, 2008.

 Luna looking beautiful as always.

 Paris likes the clover too.

The wood hasn't been chopping itself so I had to get to it.

It's almost finished. We need to get over to Andy's and get a few more big pieces.

The new boot bench/cat house. It has short legs on the bottom now to raise it a little off the deck.

I wanted to make another bench to sit on while changing boots on the porch. I also wanted to give the cats a place to sleep since their cardboard box is falling apart. This was the solution. Lisa is going to paint it purple with bright orange trim.

Lambs in Motion

The new lambs have lots of playmates and they take full advantage.

Bucolic

My apologies for being away so long.
The lambs are all out in the pasture now. Next season's ewes are in with Steve.

Steve and his next set of moms. He is the one with the collar and leash and well, the gigantic testicles.

Not sure which two these are but they're cute.

Lisa set up the creep feeder. The lambs can go in and get to the food but the ewes can't fit.

One of the sets of triplets. They're all still nursing.

22 is a lot of lambs.

The llamas are keeping them safe.

 Oh. Hi!
