Kittens!

Nelson's daughter had a barn cat she wanted to find a home for. We've been needing a barn cat. So, now we have two barn cats.

There's a yellow one and a gray one. They need names. Any ideas?

They've been living in Stephanie's garage so the environment shouldn't be much of a shock.

 They made themselves at home.

They're both 8 months old. The yellow one is a neutered male, the gray is a spayed female. They have a litter box, food and water. The yellow one wouldn't let the gray one eat so Lisa put some food on the floor. Eventually I'm going to build a cat house so they can stay out in the carport area. They need to be out where they can kill varmints.

Drifter is doing well. She has gained more weight and always seems happy to see us when we're outside. She had lice so Lisa got some powder to kill them. It isn't the same kind of lice people or dogs get so, according to the Internet, we're safe.

Piper got to ride in the truck when we went to Lexington over the weekend. She fell off once, the seats are short and she wasn't used to them. Next time we'll have a crate for her to ride in so she's safe.

The snow was still too deep to get out in anything but the truck until today.

All of the snow melted and now there is standing water and mud everywhere.

 Paige and the melted snow.

  1. Yay, kitties! I think you should continue the "names that start with P" theme or names from the same show, say Phoebe and Leo.

    Drifter looks awesome! Hi Paige!
