Moving the Monolithic Steps

We finally got the heavy concrete steps out of the front yard. They have been sitting out there since the porch guys dragged them out of the way. We couldn't lift them and didn't have anything big enough to move them by brute force. With some leverage we got them up onto some fence posts and were able to roll them using the four-wheeler. Once we got them to the top of the hill we made a travois like sled and dragged them across the back yard. Andy had to snatch them pretty hard to break the coefficient of friction but once they started moving he was able to make it all the way to their final destination.

We also got the rest of the boards for the parking area fence. I got the cover boards cut but Lisa is going to paint the fence black before we hang them.

The girls had to bark at me when I walked in carrying the camera. I don't know why that sets them off but it always does.

I got my birthday knife in the mail and made this video. AS you can see it is a Smith & Wesson M&P A/O Knife SWMP2.

  2. What are you going to do with the steps? Put potted plants on them?

  3. I voted for Gracie! Kathy, Lisa was thinking of using the steps as a mounting block to get up on Heidi. We need to decide because we don't want to move them around much. In the mean time we'll be breeding spiders under them.

  4. breeding spiders? what kind? hopefully daddy-long-legs, the other kind are kinda gross and creepy. that'll be a heck of a mounting block for ya! it'll be easy to get on bareback that way! we should try it out- you ready aunt lisa?
