Single Digits

We are certainly not accustomed to these kinds of temperatures. They're saying we might hit zero tonight.

This was when we got in from feeding the horses. 25°

This is when we got home from Cynthiana. 18°

First single digit. 9°

A few minutes ago. 7°

The girls wanted to help feed the horses. They really just wanted to go out and bark. It was cold out there.
You can lead a horse to a feed bucket but can you make it eat? This was on the way to Cyntiana. The light was bad but this farm had barns worth more than most houses. It was in Bourbon county on the way to Harrison county.

We went to Harrison county just outside of Cynthiana to look at this mini and her baby. She's the one in the left picture. The dog was really cool. The horse was tame but she tried to bite Lisa and, well, we really appreciate how pretty Sundown is now. The horse in the right picture with the girl is her stallion. He's for sale too.
The little creature on the right that looks like a cababara is the baby mini. The girl had goats too. They were pretty cool. One was trying to eat the glove off of my hand. He tried to catch my fist between his horns too. I kind of liked him but he would be hard to keep penned. He jumped over that wire fence like it wasn't even there.

  1. Don't worry, Jim. I'll bring some of our warm snow with me, OK? We've had about two feet in the last 2 days, and it is supposed to be about -5 tonight. We'll see you in a week!
